Izzy is a psychologist that has experience working with all ages including children, adolescents, adults and older adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has worked with clients in school settings, non-for-profit organisations, community settings and in private practice.
Her therapeutic style is compassionate, calm and client centred. Izzy aims to create a safe, warm and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their difficult emotions, thoughts, behaviours and memories. She also focuses on highlighting client’s strengths and resilience.
She uses evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. Izzy uses a trauma informed approach in her work with all clients.
She holds a special interest in working with clients who have survived abuse and neglect, and those experiencing grief and loss. As well as, experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar, complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, adjustment difficulties, chronic health conditions, attachment issues, low self-esteem and family difficulties.
Izzy holds her Bachelor in Psychological Science and her Master Degree in Clinical Psychology. She is currently completing her Clinical Psychology Registrar Program.
